Getting Willow home has been the tricky part. When we came to London late this past July, we flew her via Virgin Atlantic’s Pet Cargo. We were not 100% impressed with their program and decided to fly her inside the cabin instead on the way home. The only problem is the UK does not allow dogs to fly into or out of England while in the cabin. So, off to Amsterdam we go! This afternoon we have to take a train to the coast, an overnight ferry to the Netherlands, a second train to the airport and we will then have a 10-hour flight from Amsterdam to Atlanta. I know it sounds slightly ridiculous, but it was the best and most cost effective way to get Willow home safely. This way she can ride with us in the cabin in her little carrier and I don’t have to worry about anything happening to her in the cargo unit.
If any of you have a spare moment, please say a prayer that all goes well for us during the next 36 hours; especially because today is Friday the 13th. Also, I’ll be taking a break from blogging until we get back to London after the New Year. So thank you for reading, for supporting my blog and I hope you all have a wonderful, safe and happy holiday!!
